It's a good choice for an experienced skater who is starting to do speed or distance skating, or any skater who wants to get a little speed during their workouts. It is an extruded aluminum frame that is 276mm long and holds 4 wheels up to 90mm in diameter. Mounting slots accommodate a standard mounting distance of 165mm. Speed axle threading allows the axles to screw directly into the frame, eliminating excess parts, and greatly simplifying wheel maintenance.

Frames come with axles and spacers.

I picked this up to add as a fitness/marathon option to my inline skate arsenal. Before I only had 243-mm frame, so this was a nice addition to switch out when I feel like going for a long, relaxing skate or doing a local race for fun. It fits well on both my Seba High and Trix2 boots. The frame itself is very light with an almost brittle feel to it, but it takes a beating and performs pretty well in my opinion. There's some initial creaking that goes on when the the frame is settling in (after you bolt it all up and bolt the wheels), but it diminishes over a few rides.
There are some oddities:
Keep in mind that you have to NOT use a washer on the front mounting bolt in order to have adequate clearance with the 2nd wheel. The frames are single piece, so the wheel mounting bolts enter from the same side (the right side), but the decal is visible from the outside, so it doesn't really matter.
Overall, this is a great value upgrade to a 243-mm setup for the person looking for some more-stable fitness skating or entry race options. And obviously the larger wheels (90-mm) make for a more comfortable ride vs. 80-mm. (Posted on 8/21/2016)
